RPG 2.0

This is one of the first large-scale game design projects I've attempted.  It was a 2D tile-based game modeled after the early versions of "RPG Maker" software that came on the scene back in 1995.  Back then, the RPG Maker software was extremely limiting to the user, as it didn't allow for use of variables, scripting, or any other open ended modifications.  I wanted to create something similar that would allow users to define their own variables and tweak the game logic as they see fit in order to make the software more versatile.  I ended up abandoning the project in order to pursue 3D programming in DirectX 8.
